Baseball Buddies 
A Challenger League Program 

We are very excited to share with you the return of Baseball Buddies, a program organized by North Miami Beach Little League (“NMBLL”)!!!  Baseball Buddies pairs experienced NMBLL players with youth who have special needs or haven’t had the confidence to participate in organized baseball in the past. 

The program runs every fall between September through November, typically in the mornings, at Pelican Park in Sunny Isles. We  focus on skills, drills, and teaching the basics of the game of baseball.  Also, have informal game play in order to allow players to experience the thrill of participating in a team sport.   

Every child will be assigned a “buddy”, typically an 11-17 year old current or former member of NMBLL who loves baseball and wants to help others learn to love the game as well.  While we wish to welcome all children with special needs, due to the fact that the buddies will also be children, we ask parents to use their discretion as to whether their child can attend and take direction to participate.  Our goal is to accommodate every child if possible.  We also ask that an adult for each child attend every session.
